Speech and Language - Preschool Groups

sayandplaySay and Play Preschool groups are designed for children aged between 2 years 6 months and 6 years. These run during term time from 9.15 a.m. - 11.30 a.m. and 12.30.m. - 2.45pm, Monday - Friday.Groups can be run twice weekly.

 

Each group is specifically designed for different types of communication difficulties. These vary from term to term depending on the children's communication problems, but generally would include groups for:

  

  1. Language Delays and Disorders.
  2. Speech Delays and Disorders.
  3. Social Communication Disorders including children on the autistic spectrum
  4. Early Communication Skills.sand pit

 

There are between 2 -  6 children in each Say and Play Group. There is one Speech and Language Therapist and an assistant when there are up to 4 children. For larger groups another Speech and Language Therapist is also present providing a very high Therapist to child ratio.
