Edenside Clinic

Say and Play Ltd, Edenside Clinic was founded in 1996 by Janet Farrugia.

Edenside is a small friendly clinic with four therapy rooms and an outside play area. It has a kitchen where parents can make themselves a drink if they choose to stay whilst their child is receiving therapy.

The Team

Janet and her team have had considerable experience in the NHS and Independent Sector working with children of all ages covering a range of communication disorders

All the staff work closely together as a team in the best interests of the children. We liaise closely with all other professionals involved with your child especially any other Speech and Language Therapists.

All therapists are registered with the Health Professions Council, (Reg HPC), and are members of the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (MASLTIP) which is the officially recognised body for independent speech and language therapists, and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (CertMRCSLT) which is the professional body for speech and language therapists in the United Kingdom. 

Its members are responsible for maintaining high standards in clinical practice. The initials Cert MRCSLT show that a therapist is a registered member and has been awarded a licence to practice, following the successful completion of an accredited graduate or post-graduate course. Registered speech and language therapists are committed to maintaining their competence and expertise through continuing professional development. 

A number of speech and language therapy assistants complement our team of therapists by supporting children at our 'Say and Play' groups. 

We are approved by several universities, which send their speech and language therapy students to our clinic for their clinical placements.
