Delayed or disordered speech (pronunciation)

Children with difficulties pronouncing sounds may be following normal developmental patterns but a little bit later than normal - this is delayed speech. If they are pronouncing sounds and words in an unusual way which is not following normal developmental patterns - this is disordered speech.
